Miranda is one of my senior reps for the 2014-2015 school year and instead of doing photos this summer she wanted to wait until the ground had a blanket of snow. Unfortunately, this season we have been lacking in the snow department so we ventured our way up to White Pass knowing we would be able to find snow. I am so glad she wanted to not only make an adventure of her day, but that she wanted snow because it is so beautiful to take photos in. Our journey began taking highway 12 up to White Pass and we were quite shocked as to the lack of snow there really was this season. Therefore, we continued to follow the highway and decided to find our own hidden treasures.
With a love for dance since she was a kid, Miranda is hoping to continue that passion in college and auditioning at a couple different colleges in New York. I knew I had to incorporate her passion for dance into her session, so we decided to do it on a frozen pond off the side of the highway. In addition to dancing on thin ice, I tried something new and shot through some thin ice. I love the effect it gave and will most definitely be doing this in future sessions. Enjoy some of my favorites from her session this past weekend.
