Water Sessions for engaged and married couples

Trying to find an engagement idea that you haven’t seen on any wedding blog or come across on your google search? This unique engagement idea is an experience you won’t forget-a water session! Yes, that is right, a session where you are in the water and I am in the water with you! There are many locations to have your engagement session at, however not many will include a view from in the water right there with you. Suuuure, you have seen sessions with couples in the water while the photographer is shooting from land, but rarely do you see a photographer  right next to you in the ocean or lake, which proves why it is a unique engagement idea. Being in the water with you provides an entirely new perspective; couples  hold each other and interact completely different than they do on land.
Why water? you might ask. Water is such a powerful element and has so many aspects to it- tones, shape, and  movement to name a few. In addition, it is my biggest inspiration because of these aspects; What I love most about these sessions are the true emotion you get simply from reacting to the water. There is no staging when a wave is coming towards you mid-waist and all  you can do is react in that moment. It makes these sessions truly authentic and real.
What might you expect from these sessions? expect to get wet and have fun! For this unique engagement idea plan on getting into the water, if you don’t like to play in water, these sessions are not for you. Depending on how daring you are I could have you wading up to your waist or fully submerged under water. There are ideas for all levels of swimmers and couples, for example, say you want to paddle board out to the middle of the lake and jump in or snorkel around and then relax on the beach afterwards, I can make it work!
Because the Pacific Northwest- Oregon and Washington specifically- only have a handful of warm months, these sessions are great for those that live in or are visiting in southern California (SoCal) or on the islands of Hawaii.
